Our discoveries this month include an inspiring podcast & TED talk, insightful book and an app to keep us calm and stress-free so we can get through the next few months without burning out!
Our favourite community
One Girl Band ~ a collective for self-identifying female entrepreneurs + creatives who work for and by themselves. Living in Lewes means we can easily get along to the brilliant OGB meet-ups in Brighton. We know how it feels to be isolated and lonely working from home. There’s no one to bounce ideas off and talk through obstacles that block us from moving forward in our business. We have got so much out of meeting other female entrepreneurs and discussing our businesses. Magic happens when women of different minds and passions gather together.
We are so excited to be running an expertise session on Pinterest at the OGB Brighton co-working space February 21st 6 – 8pm

We recently met Jes from Crowdfund 360 at a One Girl Band meet-up. We didn’t know much about crowdfunding, what it was and if it was possible to use crowdfunding for small businesses. We were fascinated and keen to learn more so asked her to educate us! Learn all about it on our blogpost: Crowdfunding: what is it and how to make it work for your creative business

Don’t give up!! Pinterest is a “slow burn”. It takes time for your pins to get ‘seeded’ in users feeds. A typical business owner with a good, consistent strategy starts seeing results in the form of traffic and/or sales at least 6 months in.
