The last 12 months have been a bit of a rollercoaster for creative small businesses, artists, designers, makers and indie brands. With many workshops, events and contracts cancelled we had to adapt and find other ways to come together and learn new skills. Hardly anyone knew Zoom at the beginning of last year, now we’re using it almost on a daily basis. There maybe a silver lining in all of this: it has opened up new avenues to reach a wider audience. We’re hoping that this year will prove easier to once again get together face to face. In the meantime here are some of the creative eBooks, online courses, online workshops and free tutorials which have inspired us.

If you have wanted to try natural dyeing and you are not sure where to begin this tutorial will show you how to get started with this beautiful dye. It covers all the basics in natural dyeing such as preparing your fabric or fibre, making your dye bath and dyeing both animal (wool, alpaca, silk etc.) and plant fibres (hemp, linen, cotton etc.). Kathryn takes you through the process step by step and includes lots of extra tips and tested methods to ensure great results each time.
